As they say, hindsight is 20/20, so what better way to plan your college experience than to see college through the lens of someone who has already gone through the process of choosing, applying, and attending?

Chris Jackson is a month away from his Master’s in School Counseling, so he is preparing to help students go through the same process he did. In our interview he notes the importance of his high school college counselor in choosing a college and shares his criteria for attending Millersville:
- Location (specifically access to home)
- Price
- Activities
- Athletics (in his case, track & field)
- Size of school
Chris also notes some tips for success in college:
- Organization
- Time management
- Motivation
My favorite part of the interview, though, is after we finished; I kept recording, and Chris spoke frankly about what he would have done differently, giving great advice to high school students about getting a great education and graduating with minimal debt. You can find that around the 16:30 mark.
