040: How to Take a Semester Off and Still Graduate on Time with Hannah Shade

So, what do you do when you discover that you don’t have any classes to take next semester?  That you’re so advanced in your program that you’ve temporarily run out of classes to take?  If you’re Hannah Shade, you go to Germany and work as an au pair, of course!

Hannah shares her discovery of the scheduling anomaly and how she turned what could have been a frustrating experience or wasted semester into an amazing opportunity.  She ended up taking a semester off from college and is getting paid (at the time of this recording) to work as an au pair in Germany.  What a great way to respond to an unexpected situation!

Hannah credits this experience with helping her learn many new things and growing as a person.  She ends the interview with some great advice for students who want to make their own path through college.
